I love/hate snow.

Hey there! So, if you've read ~MewCherrii's journal, you would know that we've had quite a lot of snow here in NJ. 2 ft. Winter's my favorite season of the year, the only thing I can think that I hate about it is that I can't bike during this time. I mean, the air smells nice, it's wonderfully cold out, it's simply fabulous!
At first, I was really excited when I first heard it was going to snow and got even more excited when it started. After about 5 hours of constant snowing, I started hating it >.> I was hoping not to be able to leave the house at all, but our dog was begging to be taken outside so she could do her business and we couldn't, then I had to trudge through the snow just to get across the street to our neighbor's house and retrieve my brother and get back (soaking wet after just 2 minutes of standing out there!). The snow stopped for a little bit, so my dad got the snow blower and cleared our driveway and sidewalk (he accidentally ran over our Christmas lights and got electricuted [sp?]. They don't work anymore except for our 2ft. mini-light-up-christmas tree on the lawn) and my brother helped shovel out across the street. The snow started back up again and they're hard work was unrecognizable. After a while, we all got in the van so we could head over to my other bro's girlfriend's house to pick them both up. As soon as we left the driveway, we were completely stuck in our tracks. Our dad was so stubborn that he continued to attempt to drive. We got about 3 houses down after about 15 minutes and he finally gave up and we called the cops to get a snow plow over to our street. Mom, ~MewCherrii, ~ArchanPuyo, and I all had to run out of the van and attempt to hurry back into the house because no one was supposed to be on the road unless you're line of work was in the hospital or fire department (my dad works in the ER so he used that as an excuse). My brother had to stay over his girlfriend's house for the night. After a little while, our dad came in saying that a plow was coming and it arrived in about 10 minutes. Since our car was stuck in the middle of the street, when the plow came by our car was just buried. We decided to ignore that till morning. So my parents end up waking me up at 3am this morning and I find out that it was 22.9" and still snowing. I was up after that for about another 2 hours, ate breakfast, then took a nap before my day officially started. Got up and looked out the window; practically snowed in. Now 10am, my brother started shoveling out my dad's car so he could get to work (he was supposed to be there at 7am) and my dad started using the snow blower on the sidewalk and driveway again. As soon as my dad finishes, the snow blower basically burned out. Our shovel broke and my bro had to borrow the neighbor's to finish digging out the car. We then noticed that down the street, people were just shoveling out their sidewalks and dumping the snow on our now completely buried van (mom went nuts~). My brother finally finished up shoveling out the car and my dad left for work. Bro was also promised $50 to shovel out our neighbors walk-path, double-driveway, and sidewalk in 45 min. When he comes back out (now 12pm), he finds out that the neighbors already hired 2 other people to shovel everything out....ass-holes....So, he got 2 of his friends and another neighbor to help dig out our van. During about half of this, I was working on the base for a snowman and was having trouble walking through the 2ft. deep snow and gave up to go inside and have some coffee. After everyone had finished digging out the van, my mom backed it up into the driveway and our dad called saying that work had been canceled for the day and he was on his way home. A few hours later, mom and dad were getting ready to go grocery shopping and I was forced to go out sledding with ~ArchanPuyo. Finally back, having another cup of coffee, FREEZING! Got news that our school has been canceled (doesn't affect me though). Have I mentioned that my other brother's play was canceled two days in a row because of this? No? Well it was. Rescheduled for january. Mom and dad just got home from grocery shopping this very second, got to go put food away. See ya!
If anyone actually read through that whole thing, tell me. You deserve some sort of prize for reading through my long complaint that really should be in more than one paragraph XD Sorry everyone~ (and if you haven't gotten the point, in a nutshell, I'm in a very bad mood and I'm kinda hating my favorite season of the year right now.)
